SQUASH & Racketball

With five squash courts, Ilkley Tennis Club is ideally equipped for both Squash and Racketball. From squash coaching for adults and juniors, through to regular social events for squash players, we offer a wide range of options for players of all ages and abilities.

We have an active programme of regular squash events, tournaments, adult box leagues and teams, offering a wide range of opportunities to compete at all levels. In addition we also run junior squash courses, with several of our junior players progressing to win Yorkshire titles.

Court Costs and Bookings

  • Courts booked in advance: £2.50
  • Adult walk-on rate: £2.50

Our Regular Squash Events

  • Grand Prix Squash and Racketball Social Club Nights.
  • Squash Grand Prix – Currently running on the first Wednesday of each month.
  • Racketball – Socials on Monday 7:30pm and Wednesday from 9:00am.

Coaching and Courses

We offer coaching sessions and courses throughout the year, with options for all ages including individuals, pairs, beginners and advanced players.

Tournaments

Typically at weekends for convenience, internal and external tournaments are played throughout the year. Our annual Club Championships are held in the Spring. With a number of categories, this is a great chance for all players to compete.

Adult Box Leagues

Running on a monthly cycle, our box leagues are an excellent opportunity to compete with different opponents on a regular basis. Speak to the team to sign up or for more information about which league would suit you.

Teams

The Club has two men’s teams who play in the local Harrogate League on a mixture of nights.

Juniors

The junior ranks at The Club can boast several Yorkshire title winners which have come from the junior courses and squash nights. Courses run alongside school terms from autumn through to spring and are charged at £6 a week. Junior squash nights are a great social opportunity, running on Friday nights from 6 – 7pm and charged at just £2.

 England Junior squash tournaments are hosted by The Club during the year offering the chance for juniors to play against some of the best. Internal junior leagues are also played throughout the year and those who meet the standard are welcome to play in the adult league.
