There is a vibrant tennis scene at Ilkley offering something for all ages and abilities.
The club has:

• 5 indoor acrylic courts,
• 6 outdoor floodlit courts (3 acrylic and 3 artificial grass),
• 14 grass courts (open May to September).

Whether you just want to play with friends and family, take part in the many social events and activities or enjoy the more competitive aspects playing Team Tennis and tournaments, there will be something to suit your needs.

The club offers many and varied opportunities to play tennis on a social basis. Indoor and outdoor, Ladders, Leagues, Singles and Doubles, Ladies tennis, mixed, etc. Some events run throughout the year, some are summer only and some are winter only.

The club is well represented in local leagues with men's and ladies' teams in the Yorkshire league and teams in the Wharfedale Mixed Doubles League.

The club also enters a men's team in the National Club League and a number of junior teams across the age groups in the National Junior Club League.

The club has a team of 10 coaches offering lessons on an individual and group basis for all ages and abilities.

Adults can take advantage of individual or group sessions with a number of group courses available from the beginner to intermediate player.

The junior coaching programme at Ilkley is one of the largest in the country with over 500 children taking part in regular lessons.

The coaching programme is structured so that there is a natural progression from each level to the next and it incorporates the LTA mini tennis scheme.
The club is also an LTA Accredited Performance Centre and it is quite normal to see some of the best juniors in the county being put through their paces while on an adjacent court there could be some 4/5 year olds being introduced to sponge ball tennis for the first time! More on juniors ...
